Description
Cartalax 10mg from Ameano Peptides is 10mg of Cartalax in a sealed glass vial. Cartalax is a tripeptide bioregulator. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
What is Cartalax?
Cartalax is the tripeptide Ala-Glu-Asp, one of the short peptides linked in Khavinson’s program to cartilage and connective tissue. Its CAS number is 205640-90-0.
It comes from the bioregulator program led by Vladimir Khavinson at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, which proposed that very short peptides can bind DNA and switch particular genes on or off in specific tissues.
How Cartalax acts in the lab
Khavinson’s group proposes that short peptides like this one enter the cell nucleus and bind specific DNA sequences, changing how tightly the chromatin is packed in cartilage and connective tissue cells. Looser chromatin lets nearby genes switch on.
That model is still debated. What the published papers actually report is a change in gene and protein expression in cultured cells, and the mechanism behind it hasn’t been confirmed by independent labs.

Published Cartalax studies
Published work on it comes almost entirely from Khavinson’s group and other Russian labs, mostly cell culture studies of gene expression in cartilage and fibroblast cells, plus some rodent work.
Independent replication outside Russia is limited, so it’s best treated as an early-stage research peptide.

Reconstituting Cartalax 10mg
Concentration is just the amount in the vial divided by the liquid you add. With 10mg in this vial:
- 1mL of diluent gives 10mg/mL
- 2mL of diluent gives 5mg/mL
- 3mL of diluent gives 3.33mg/mL
Go with whichever number is easiest to work with in your protocol, and label the vial with the concentration and the date you mixed it.
Use a sterile diluent such as our research diluent solution. Warm the sealed vial to room temperature first so no condensation gets in, add the liquid slowly along the glass wall, and swirl gently until it’s clear. Never shake.
How to store Cartalax 10mg
The dry powder keeps best cold: 2 to 8°C in the fridge, or -20°C for long-term storage. After reconstitution, store it in the fridge and finish it within roughly four weeks.
Cartalax 10mg quality and batch records
Cartalax 10mg is sold at 99% purity or better, measured by HPLC. That figure is the minimum for every batch we ship, not a best case.
The label on every vial shows the compound, the amount and the batch. Ask us for the certificate of analysis for your batch and we’ll email it over, which is handy if your lab keeps paperwork on file.
Write the batch number in your lab notes when you open a new vial. If you ever need to compare results between orders, that’s the detail you’ll want.
What you need with Cartalax 10mg
Check you have everything before the vial arrives: a sterile diluent such as our research diluent solution, sterile syringes, alcohol swabs and room in the fridge. Our vial case holds ten vials upright, and the vial opener pops flip-off caps cleanly.
Cartalax 10mg single, 5 pack and 10 pack prices
Buying for a longer project? Cartalax 10mg is available in these quantities:
- Single vial: $58.00
- 5 pack: 5 vials for $261.00 instead of $290.00, about $52.20 a vial
- 10 pack: 10 vials for $493.00 instead of $580.00, about $49.30 a vial
The packs are the same vials as the single listing, just priced lower per vial. If you know you’ll go through more than four, the 5 pack already costs less than buying them one by one.
