Description
TB-500 10mg from Ameano Peptides is 10mg of TB4 in a sealed glass vial. TB4 is a 43-amino-acid actin-binding protein. It’s for in-vitro and lab research only.
About TB4
TB4 is thymosin beta-4, a 43-amino-acid protein found in nearly every cell in the body, with high levels in platelets and white blood cells. Inside the cell it binds actin, the protein that cells use to change shape and move.
Peptide sellers often call it TB-500, and that’s the name on our label. This vial is the full-length 43-residue sequence, not the short 17-23 fragment, which we sell separately. It’s on the WADA prohibited list and isn’t an approved medicine.
How TB4 acts in the lab
Thymosin beta-4’s main job is holding on to G-actin, the building block of the cell’s internal scaffolding. By controlling how much actin is free to polymerize, it controls how cells move and change shape.
Cell movement is the first step in repair, so that’s the link to the wound and blood vessel studies. The actin-binding work is done by a short stretch of the chain, LKKTETQ, which is why that fragment is studied on its own.

What the research says about TB4
Goldstein and colleagues reviewed thymosin beta-4’s role in wound repair in 2012, covering faster closure of skin wounds and new blood vessel growth in animal models.
Bock-Marquette and colleagues reported in Nature (2004) that thymosin beta-4 improved heart cell survival after injury in mice.

Reconstituting TB-500 10mg
The volume of liquid you add sets the concentration. For a vial holding 10mg:
- 1mL of diluent gives 10mg/mL
- 2mL of diluent gives 5mg/mL
- 3mL of diluent gives 3.33mg/mL
Choose the volume that suits your measurements. Mark the vial with the concentration and date so nobody has to guess later.
Research diluent solution or bacteriostatic water both work. Add it slowly so it runs down the side of the vial, then swirl or roll until everything dissolves. Shaking can shear peptide chains. Skip it.
TB-500 10mg storage and shelf life
Store sealed vials in the fridge (2 to 8°C) or freezer (-20°C), away from light. Mixed solution goes back in the fridge and should be used within about 28 days.
TB4 purity and COA
Every batch of TB-500 10mg is made to a minimum of 99% purity by HPLC.
Each vial is labeled with the compound, the amount and a batch number. The certificate of analysis is filed under that batch number, so if you need the COA for your records, email us the number on your label and we’ll send it.
Keep the batch number with your records. It’s the quickest way to match a vial to its paperwork later.
What you need with TB-500 10mg
You’ll need a diluent to mix TB-500 10mg. Our 10mL research diluent covers several vials, and the 2mL diluent kit gives you a fresh vial for each mix. Add sterile syringes and alcohol swabs, and the 10-slot vial case if you want your vials stored upright in the fridge.
TB-500 10mg single, 5 pack and 10 pack prices
TB-500 10mg comes in more than one quantity. Pick the option from the dropdown above the cart button:
- Single vial: $75.00
- 5 pack: 5 vials for $337.50 instead of $375.00, about $67.50 a vial
- 10 pack: 10 vials for $637.50 instead of $750.00, about $63.75 a vial
Every vial in a pack is the same product and batch type as the single vial. The saving is the only difference, so buy the pack if your study will use them before they expire.
