Description
ARA-290 10mg is a 10mg vial of ARA-290, an erythropoietin-derived peptide, supplied by Ameano Peptides as freeze-dried powder. It’s for in-vitro and lab research only.
What is ARA-290?
ARA-290 (cibinetide) is an 11-amino-acid peptide based on a region of erythropoietin. It activates the tissue-protective receptor without stimulating red blood cell production.
Araim Pharmaceuticals developed it for small fiber neuropathy.
How ARA-290 acts in the lab
Erythropoietin (EPO) has two jobs. It drives red blood cell production through one receptor, and it protects tissue through another, a complex of the EPO receptor with CD131.
ARA-290 mimics the small part of EPO that binds the tissue-protective receptor and leaves the red blood cell receptor alone. That lets researchers study EPO’s anti-inflammatory and nerve-protective effects without raising hematocrit.

Published ARA-290 studies
In a phase 2 study, Brines and colleagues reported that ARA-290 improved symptoms and corneal nerve fiber density in patients with sarcoidosis-related small fiber neuropathy.
Animal studies looked at nerve and kidney protection.

ARA-290 10mg reconstitution and concentration
Here’s the math for 10mg of peptide:
- 1mL of diluent gives 10mg/mL
- 2mL of diluent gives 5mg/mL
- 3mL of diluent gives 3.33mg/mL
Choose the volume that suits your measurements. Mark the vial with the concentration and date so nobody has to guess later.
Use a sterile diluent such as our research diluent solution. Warm the sealed vial to room temperature first so no condensation gets in, add the liquid slowly along the glass wall, and swirl gently until it’s clear. Never shake.
ARA-290 10mg storage and shelf life
Store sealed vials in the fridge (2 to 8°C) or freezer (-20°C), away from light. Mixed solution goes back in the fridge and should be used within about 28 days.
ARA-290 10mg quality and batch records
ARA-290 10mg is sold at 99% purity or better, measured by HPLC. That figure is the minimum for every batch we ship, not a best case.
The label on every vial shows the compound, the amount and the batch. Ask us for the certificate of analysis for your batch and we’ll email it over, which is handy if your lab keeps paperwork on file.
Write the batch number in your lab notes when you open a new vial. If you ever need to compare results between orders, that’s the detail you’ll want.
What you need with ARA-290 10mg
Check you have everything before the vial arrives: a sterile diluent such as our research diluent solution, sterile syringes, alcohol swabs and room in the fridge. Our vial case holds ten vials upright, and the vial opener pops flip-off caps cleanly.
ARA-290 10mg single, 5 pack and 10 pack prices
You can buy ARA-290 10mg one vial at a time or in a multi-pack. The options in the dropdown are:
- Single vial: $48.00
- 5 pack: 5 vials for $216.00 instead of $240.00, about $43.20 a vial
- 10 pack: 10 vials for $408.00 instead of $480.00, about $40.80 a vial
Every vial in a pack is the same product and batch type as the single vial. The saving is the only difference, so buy the pack if your study will use them before they expire.
